Ron and Traci Weber of Cedar Rapids designed their business, 1st Avenue Wine House, as a comfortable place that welcomes both knowledgeable wine lovers and those just learning to appreciate wine. The store at 3412 1st Ave NE pours through the rooms of an old house filled with shelves of bottled wine, gourmet foods, gift baskets and accessories that help make wine a gift to enjoy.
Traci and hubby are by far some of the best retailers, innovaters and most of all wonderful people I have ever known! They care about their customers and go above and beyond; God bless them both; they are the BEST!
These people are so passionate about wine and their business. They have made themselves students of their product and it shows. Traci, Ron, Jim, Carolyn and Chad are so helpful and always nice and welcoming. The events are great and you almost always get a glass of wine to sip while you are shopping. Be careful not to step on Lizzi or Jake the baby boxers. Have fun!
Absolutely love this wine shop! The people are "personality plus" and the best in choosing that perfect bottle of wine. Also admire the decor and gift baskets for any occasion
Okay, if you can't get to John's Grocery to talk with Wally, this is the place you should be. They value wine as much as you do and it shows. They know the regions, varieties, many of the vinyards, and how to pair it with what's for dinner. Very nonpretensious and homey. Don't step on the dog, (that lucky dog).
Traci and her team make the wine tasting experience more than just a wine tasting. There is always fabulous food and they tell you how to make it! There is pairing advise provided and unique gift ideas available. Live music in the summer with local talent....You couldn't ask for more!
