I would like to know the details posted by "cedarrapids". Did they attend an event there and what made it a nightmare? If they can't give details, then they shouldn't leave comments. When you are hosting an event there or anywhere, why wouldn't you be involved and know that many details. It is apparent to me that "cedarrapids" has not been in charge of planning any kind of party or event!!! I was just in charge of planning an event there, and my experience was great. Good food, great decoration (which they took care of for us) and the staff was great, even though the weather was bad, we had a great turnout. I would recommend this place.
WOW. I have gone to A Touch of Class three times this year, twice for family weddings and 1 holiday party and it was absolutley wonerful everytime. The last wedding i went to was in the late Spring and i helped my niece (bride) with alot of the set up for her wedding. Even though she changed her mind about things, the staff of A Touch of Class were exteremely helpful and without their flexability the wedding would have been a nighmare. The building was clean and the park was well maintained. The staff looked wonderful and were very nice. The event coordinater was sooo helpful with any questions that came up during the whole process. The food was very, very good. (Get the marinated chicken!) I just cant say enough good things about my three experiences. I can't wait until the next time i get to go to A Touch of Class. Thank You.
I am a member of the Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors and attend a monthly luncheon at A Touch of Class which is always wonderful- the service, food, location, etc. I have also attended many Christmas parties, weddings, picnics, and have always been overly impressed. The staff is always very presentable with great personalities, always there to make guests happy. The food is wonderful, the presentation and the taste. They are always accomidating to any event or size of party, and I would recommend them to anyone. It is nice to see an owner so hands on and involved with the business (Frank) as well as someone like Becky that takes care of all the details, big and small, from start to finish.
AMAZING!!! We recently got married at A Touch Of Class in thier private gazebo and had our reception in one of their banquet rooms. From start to finish they took care of every detail and followed through with what they promised. The food was by far the best I ever had at a banquet facility and they even made a custom wedding cake from a picture my wife brought in. We are still getting compliments from many guests about the food a facility. When comparing to the other options in town A Touch Of Class had the most service and atmosphere for the price. I don't know how anyone can say anything bad about this place, it totally rocked!! I talked my company into having their Christmas party there, I want more Party Potatoes. Cheers!!
The food was amazing and a great value. I compared their menu and pricing to the hotels in Cedar Rapids, and they give the most bang for your buck. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.
I called twice and left messages and signed up on their website for them to contact me. After 3 weeks I have not heard anything back from them whatsoever. My friend also warned me that when she booked an appointment to go meet with them and tour their facilities for her wedding, when she arrived, no one was there at the scheduled appointment time, even though she saw her name on their calendar. She looked around regardless, but no one was there.
Worst service we have seen. The facilities are decent but the overall service and attitude from the entire main staff is horrible. It was one bad experience after another with them and at no point were we ever treated as customers paying them for a service. When we mentioned that one of our other service companies would not be able to do what we needed them to do, they were daring enough to say "If you are paying somoene to do there job, then they should do what you want" Which is amazing because they would not help us with anything and we paid for it. We ended up paying them way too much money to set up chairs and For a business meeting it may be an average place to go, for a special event where a dedicated, friendly, helpful staff is expected, do not go to this place. The management was rude and we were a burden to them. The facilities that we rented were not clean and the equipment was not in proper working order. Instead of telling us of these problems so we could plan ahead, they just argued with us and said that it was not their responibilty. Many more details can be provided if needed.
