Atlas was founded in September of 2000 by Jack Piper and James Adrian. Since the day they opened, Atlas has tripled in size. They have squeezed in extra tables, added a summer patio and opened a lounge in the basement. So, like any recipe for success Atlas is composed of hard work, restaurant knowledge, and just a pinch of good luck. Atlas uses only the freshest local ingredients. As you view our menus, please also remember that each day we offer a selection of unique specials that highlight seasonal foods and spectacular wine.
This has always been one of mine and my friend's favorite places and we go back every time we are all in Iowa City. The wraps are awesome and our favorite is the BBQ Voodoo Shrimp appetizer. Oh, and the mojitos are amazing too!
i like the atlas menu. the food is tasty, the staff is nice, the place is clean...they make a mean cocktail...i don't know what else i could ask for! this restaurant is so pro!

Atlas is so great. They have the sweetest people working in their establishment and serve up delicious cuisine. Their flavors are inspired by countries around the world executed to perfection. Get dessert, it's amazing.
The Atlas is always a warm dinning experience, with great, fresh food. I enjoy the refreshing Mojitos that they serve with any of their dinner entrees. Its a great place to gather with family or friends!
Great SERVICE, Great FOOD, Great ATMOSPHERE!!! Have yet to find a restuarant in the area that offers the same level of excellence as that of the ATLAS WORLD GRILL.
