I had no choice but to give this place a star. Its like looking at puke on a plate. That's pretty much what it taste's like too! I could get a better burrito at the hospital cafateria! The name says it all anyway who eats at a mexican resturant with O'Kelly in the name?

I'm stunned that this establishment was voted "best of the area" when there are so many authentic Mexican establishments around.
Carlos O'Kelly's is nothing but premade food that gets dropped into a vat of boiling water and is rushed on to a plate. The sauces lack any flavor whatsoever and the chips and salsa are nothing to be special to be sure.

The only positive this place has is they seem to hire decent employees; on the change occasion I visit one, the service has never been bad.

I've never understood the draw to this overly corporate Mexican restaurant. The food has virtually no flavor, I feel like I'm shoving mush into my mouth. It seems to me that they substitute authentic, or even unique taste, with grease or mediocre rice. The service has always been fine for me, but that's not a given.

We have ordered food to go several times and they never get the order right. Most recently we ordered food on the Sunday night before Memorial Day they shorted us $20 worth of food I paid for. They were not at all apoligetic either. They were very slow. If they had been busy I might have understood. I will not be ordering from them any moreIt is very disappointing to get home to find that one (or more) persons has no dinner.

This is great "local" Mexican, but if you want authentic Mexican this is NOT it. Sorry COK's. It's just not it for authentic Mexican. Heck some of CR's Mexican rivals Tucson, AZ and the Southwest US.

Who cares if it's "authentic mexican"? It's delicious.

This place is great for American Mexican food but not true Mexican Food. El Rancho or Reynaldos are much better but I wouldn't expect anything different from this area where chain restaurants are extremely popular.

it is okay for american mexican food. If you want real mexican food for the money go to El Rancho.

I don't consider Carlos O' Kelly's a real Mexican food experience. Try somewhere like Hacienda Las Glorias and you will see what it's suppose to taste like.
