We at Hy-Vee Chinese Express want to continue our tradition of fresh, prepared from scratch foods we were already known for. We are different from what would be traditionally considered Chinese Fast Food in man ways. First our food is never designed with "Fast Food" in mind. Quality is our number one objective. Secondly we do not use a drive-up window as all our locations feature a casual dining area that has always been popular with our customers.
I personally enjoy the Johnson Ave location. I drive across town to get my dinner there. For the money, Hy-vee is the best in the area that I've found. If you don't mind spending more, Ting's Red Lantern is very good.
PikyTimmy- Please advise me of some great places to go for Chinese in Marion/CR. It's sad that I too believe Hy Vee is the best in Town. My favorite is Golden China in Waterloo. I just have not heard of any great places to go!! I do not like Metro or Pei's. Give me some advise.
I have to agree with "Little Timmy"...give me a break! There are many great chinese places in town, if you choose a grocery store as a best place you need to get out of the house more!!
