Our mission is to provide you with great coffee and great food, but there's even more to it than that. We want to be a neighborhood cafe experience that's both comfortable and stimulating for you. For centuries, coffeehouses around the world have meant many things to many people. Most often they've been places for endless conversation and free-flowing ideas. We hope to be part of that great tradition.
The customer service is still very good but the espresso has changed since the last owners sold the place. The taste of the espresso has went from pretty good to below average at best. I used to enjoy stopping in here but until the espresso quality is brought up to where it's enjoyable I won't be back. I guess I will depend on others to let me know when that happends or ever will. Please bring back the quality!
The atmosphere is the very best, the coffee is the absolute freshest and best in town, the food is outstanding and service is great. A good buy overall.
Java Creek is my favorite place to go in town. The food and coffee is wonderful! When my mother comes in from out of town, it is the first place we go to have coffee and sit and "catch-up" by the fireplace. I am so happy that they reopened and look forward to spending lots of time there! Best coffee house in Cedar Rapids!
It was a sad day for me when they initially closed, I am so very very happy they are back open again...the atmosphere is definitely above all others. And, believe me, I am a huge fan of coffee and have visited 'em all!!
CR's best coffee house is back open for business! I've never been more productive than when I'm sitting back by their fireplace sipping one of the best mocha's to be had in the area. Simply a great coffee house/restaurant. I'm glad they're back on the map!
Java Creek Cafe is where you will find me most mornings and an evening or two, as well. I consider the staff as family and we share a love of excellent coffee, great food, and great fun! I can't wait for the evening music entertainment to start again!
