We currently sell a variety of fresh pies out of the shop Monday - Friday 8:00am until 5:30pm and 8:00am until 1:00pm on Saturdays. Stop in and say hi the next time you are in the area, we would love to meet you and introduce you to one of Cedar Rapids best kept secrets.
There's a place in Wisconsin (the Elegant Farmer) that bakes apple pies in a paper bag--my favorite store-bought pies ever. BUT...Kathy's pies are a good fix for me, and definately the best I've had in Iowa. Congrats, Kathy!
They have the best pies I have ever had! Our family has been eating Kathy's Pie's for every holiday since I was a child, and it has became a tradition in my fmaily now. It just wouldn't be a holiday without it!
Kathy's Pies were a wonderful treat after delivering our son at Mercy in Cedar Rapids...we brought him home on Thanksgiving Day...that was the best pumpkin pie I've ever had! Sweet memories for many reasons :-)
I LOVE Kathy's pies. She has the best Coconut cream pies. And Coconut is a very difficult pie to get consistantly good. You can't just pick one up from anywhere like you can an apple pie. Plus you get your choice of meringue or whipped topping, both are good.
Y-U-M!! Love the tollhouse. I voted for Kathy's Pies b/c Jules Bakery in Marion wasn't on the list ... which is probably good, because I'd have been torn between two fabulous bakeries!
I always order Kathy's pies for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Our favorite is Chocolate Cream! Can't help buying cookies and carrot cake, too, when I pick up my ordered pies!
They are the only pie to purchase for all family gatherings;dinners; birthdays and just for any old day of the week. You certainly do not need to have an occassion to have their pies- just ask me. I believe I own 1/2 of Kathy's Pies.
I joke with my family that I am bringing pies that my "Aunt Kathy" made. Terri and Kathy are so sweet - hey-- maybe that is why they make the best pies. :) Thanks for the pies... Audrey T
Oh...where do I start! Chocolate Cream, Keylime, Cheesecake, Tollhouse, DUTCH CARAMEL APPLE!!! Have you had the Carrot Cake? YUM!
