The Steamboat has been a fixture on Falls avenue since the 1933, when Tom Adams decided to open the beer & hamburger joint. By the 1940's the place had a reputation for fun and great burgers with fried onions, which sold for 5-cents until meat rationing of WWII. Paul "the hamburger man" Lamb bought the Steamboat in 1943. He sold it 20 years later to David and Verona Hundley. In 1978, Darrel and David Hundley, Jr. took over operations at "the boat." In 1987, Bill Hundley took the helm. Most recentlyJoel Hundley has assumed the position of ship master. Known for it's legendary hamburgers and tenderloins, the Steamboat remains a great family restaurant.
