The fruit and fiber pancakes are absolutely my favorite!

The menu has been reworked to be less complex and more inviting - and along with it came flavors that are much more pleasing to the palate. We have great food each time we visit and always look forward to returning.

I used to think I had to drive to Chicago to get a good Italian beef sandwich, but the Flying Weenie has saved me lots of gas money. I would recommend ordering the Italian beef "wet", meaning they dip the bun in the juice. The french fries are freshly made with the skins on the potato and are always delicious smothered in cheese. The double play hot dogs are best if you fully load them with everything, but be prepared to roll up your sleeves when you eat them.

The service here is so fast it's unbelievable. My favorite meal is the Don Quixote special because of the variety of flavors. Meals are reasonably priced so it's a place to lunch or hang out on a Friday night. I'm even learning a few words in Spanish!

Pastrami on wheat with provolone and a side of mac and cheese is downright tasty. There's nothing better than seeing Dave and the gang for consistently great lunches. Hawk fans...Emil's has some great memorabilia on the walls, too.

Everyone loved the pie I brought to Thanksgiving dinner. It was so good it even fooled Grandma!

My mouth is watering for an order of tuna crisps and voodoo shrimp. Oohhhh, it's a bit chilly to sit on the patio today and enjoy one of their refreshing mojitos, but all of this talk of Atlas is making me think about where to have dinner Friday night!

Last year I bought my parents bicycles for their retirement. Northtowne was helpful in deciding which models were the right choice for the kind of riding my parents planned on doing and they helped fit them properly with helmets and gear. My parents bought my first bike here and it was fun going back to purchase bicycles for them.

If you can't find what you're looking for at Scheel's, you probably won't find it anywhere else. I don't know of any sporting good store that covers the vast array of sports, apparel and accessories as Sheel's does. They always have staff available to assist. We bought a home gym from Scheel's and they delivered and set it up for us. Their prices are competitive but their sales are out of this world!

Who would have guessed you could get good Thai food in the heart of the Midwest? My favorite is Yam Nua and Pad Thai, but the Tom Yum soup is pretty tasty too.

I'm not a gambler but my husband and I recently attended a concert here and really enjoyed the smoke free atmosphere. The property is very pretty and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We look forward to arrending more entertainment events in the future.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or entertaining clients, Winifred's will make your dining experience fantastic. The staff is professional and there is always a little something special on the menu to keep things interesting. My favorite will always be the beef tenderloin - it just melts in my mouth. The party room downstairs has a separate bar and is spacious enough for larger groups or they also do catering for your office or home party.

What can I say? There's nothing better than a little flaming cheese....opah! We consistently get great food, fabulous service and love dining on the patio in warmer weather. A great place for a date or a business lunch.

Miguel and Melissa have never steered me wrong on a bottle of wine yet. Sometimes shopping turns into an instant tasting experience! Need a quick gift? You can get a nice basket in just about any price range that is sure to please almost anyone.

I'll never forget our first visit here...it was 20 below zero and they had a pipe burst in the kitchen. The manager and staff handled the situation great, gave us some free drinks to enjoy while they cleaned up the mess so they could begin cooking food. Now that's service we'll always remember.

If you're hungry for Chicago style pizza and don't want to drive all the way to the windy city....Tomaso's is the next best thing!

I'm probably the only person in CR who drives around town with their menu in my glove compartment! If I'm hungry for sushi I just pull over and call them up and food is ready in no time at all. We have entertained many clients from Singapore and Thailand here and whenever they come to Cedar Rapids, Sushi House is the the first place they want to eat.
