The Waterloo Community Playhouse and Black Hawk Children's Theatre is truly a gem in the Cedar Valley. It provides wonderful volunteer opportunities for youths and adults, on-stage and back- stage as well as providing excellent theatre to audience members. Working on shows at WCP/BHCT is like working with family....truly a labor of love, where people from all walks of life can work together as a team to bring high quality live theatre to their friends and neighbors. The Playhouse has truly shaped my adult life. Not only have I developed life time friendships with a number of people, but I met my husband of almost 25 years at WCP. We have been volunteering there for almost 30 years. The Cedar Valley is fortunate to have had the Waterloo Community Playhouse as a cultural mainstay for over 90 years!
