Pedretti's Bakery

Growing up in Elkader, I looked forward to Monday afternoons when my dad would pick my siblings and me up from school to make a special trip to the bakery. Glazed snails, frosted sugar cookies, blueberry donuts...it didn't matter, they were all great. I'm away from Elkader now, and have never found a bakery to satisfy my sweet tooth the way Pedretti's does. Everytime I visit Elkader with friends, I take them straight to Pedretti's to experience a true small town treasure!
