Good restaurant, kind of a unique atmoshpere (its in an older house, with a nautical theme). I personally think the lunch is a better deal than their dinner... smaller prices but about the same amount of food. Their house dressing is wonderful.
Great local bbq. Can't say a bad thing about them. I always have a fun time when we go in because the staff is so friendly (some people say they are sassy... they've only been wonderfully kind to me).
Tried Augusta after reading some of the reviews here. Very glad I did! Their food is wonderful, get a lot for your money and they have some unique offerings. Great crab cakes. I had a steak that was wonderful. Cream corn was great too! It's in a cute downtown Oxford renovated building. Mix-match tables and chairs. Very cool place that's a reasonable drive from Iowa City (15-20 minutes). Do call ahead. They were very busy on Saturday night.
I went to Blackstone for the first time this weekend, saw it here on the A-List. It was very very good. Our table had burgers and fries, the baked pasta, mac and cheese, green bean casserole, steamed broccoli and the tiny $2 dessert, berry cheesecake. Everything was up to our expectations. They have a pretty good beer selection as well.
I love the Coralville location's high ceilings. Great place to go before, after or during a Hawkeye game. Great wings, and wing sauce. They'll put the wing sauce on a lot of other menu items, ask for it. Could use more parking.
I ordered a veggie "burrito" here once and it was basically a wrap. Cold, not cooked. The breakfast burritos look awesome though, my boyfriend got one of those and I was jealous. :)
We get a lot of catered lunch "boxes" from Deb's - its a really good option to feed a meeting. Sandwich, chips, fruit or macaroni salad - works out really well.
There are hardly any places in CR to get a chicago style dog - this is one of the few. Its very good. Atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but if you're looking for a dog, this is your stop.
Carlos has really good salsa and chips. They're a pretty good choice for Mexican food if not everyone in your party loves Mexican food - they have some pretty good non-Mexican meals (I think they even serve fries if you want).
