This salon is VERY OVERRATED! I just moved here and I went here thinking that it would be a decent salon. I had my hair highlighted and colored and I came out bright orange!! Not blonde and they didn't even go down to my roots, they used cottons balls!! And it was very expensive (which might have been ok if my hair looked good...but of course it did not). So I had to get another appointment and come back to have them fix it and of course I still had bleach spots on my hair. And I got a trim and it cost $85 just for a TRIM!! It took 5 minutes and they charged that much. SOO not worth it. Very pompous for being in the midwest and OVERRATED!!
I am first-generation Italian and this is far from it. The only thing that was decent was the steak...but the pasta was not very tasty. More along the line of bland and salty. The service wasn't all that attentive and not very knowledgeable about the menu. At twice the price of a chain menu with the same taste of poor quality.
Food is far from authentic, and just terrible. The chicken parm wasn't even breaded and was very bland. The bruchetta was just diced tomato on garlic cheese bread. The pasta sauce again was extremely bland, and just didn't do anything for us. There just isn't any good Italian in the Iowa City area.
